For the counselor
Your part
The counselor knows every child: the way back, who has not been noticed, the families, the month's recognition.
The counselor is the person who knows every child. In the app that means you see every record in the school, you walk the way back with a child after a deduction, you watch who has not been noticed, and you open the family view for a child once the family has agreed.
The four things you do
- The way back. Every deduction opens a case with you. Talk the same day, encourage, correct; a consequence only if those were not enough; then the repair, and the points come back. The way back
- Children not noticed. The home page lists every child with no act of goodness in two weeks. You make sure they are seen. Children not noticed
- Families and consent. You record that a family has been told what is recorded and who sees it, and you invite them to their child's record. Families and consent
- This month's recognition. The list of every child recognized this month, by class and by name, to read at assembly. This month's recognition
What you do not do
You do not record acts of goodness; the teacher who saw one does. You do not record deductions; only the head of the school does, after a checked complaint. You do not decide alone on the review board; where it has two or more members, one proposes and another confirms.
