Start your school
What you need, who does what, and what the first afternoon looks like.
A school is up and running in one afternoon. You need three people to begin: the head of the school, the counselor, and at least one teacher. Everything else can be added later.
What you need
- A head of the school. The person who creates the school becomes its admin: they invite the others, create classes, change settings, and are the only one who can record a deduction.
- A counselor. The person who knows every child, walks the way back with a child after a deduction, and sees who has not been noticed.
- Teachers. Each one assigned to their own classes. They record the acts of goodness they see and confirm the peaceful week.
- Phones or laptops with a browser. There is nothing to install. The app runs in the browser and keeps working with no signal.
The order of things
Create your school
Sign in with your email, name the school, pick its time zone. You are its admin. Create your school
Invite your team
One link per role. The person opens it, signs in with their email, and lands in your school. Invite your team
Classes and children
A class per age band, children typed or pasted from a spreadsheet, a teacher assigned to each class. Classes and children
Your first act
Thirty seconds on a phone. By the end of the first week every class tree has leaves. Your first act
Before the first day
Read the acts of goodness together with the teachers. Half a day of training for the teachers and a second half-day for the counselor is what a pilot school plans for. Tell every family what is recorded and who sees it; the family view opens for a child only once that consent is on file.
Nothing is lost by starting small
One class and one teacher are enough for the first week. Add the rest as they are ready. The record keeps everything from the first entry on.
