Getting started
The first weeks
The rhythm of a school on the program: daily, weekly, monthly, and the two things the counselor watches.
The program runs on a simple rhythm. Nothing in it takes long; the point is that it happens every week.
Every day
Teachers record what they see, as they see it. Thirty seconds each. Recording from a phone in the corridor is the normal way; there is no end-of-day paperwork.
Every week
- Friday: the peaceful week. On the class page, the teacher confirms the week for every child who harmed no one, with exceptions for the few who did. Five points each. It opens on Friday once most of the week has been lived. See A peaceful week.
- Friday: the circle. A few minutes together: the leaves added, the stories worth telling, the badges reached. Every child who did good is named; nobody is ranked. See The circle.
- Monday: the focus of the week. The head, or each teacher for their class, picks the act the lessons point at this week. It leads the record screen and the classroom screen. See The focus of the week.
Every month
This month lists every child recognized for an act of goodness, by class and by name, with the kinds of goodness they were seen in. It is written to be read at assembly, and it prints. See This month's recognition.
What the counselor watches
- Not yet recognized. The home page lists children with no act recorded in the last two weeks. Equal criteria for everyone means every child gets seen; the list makes sure of it.
- The way back. Every deduction opens a case with the counselor. Open cases are listed oldest first, so none is forgotten. See The way back.

When the semester ends
Open a child's page and print the certificate: a Goodness Record for the period, with a code anyone can check. Families keep it. See Recognition and certificates.
