The way back
Talk, encourage, correct; a consequence only if needed; then the repair, and the points come back.
Every deduction opens a way back with the counselor. Nothing in it is a punishment; it is how a child is guided back, with dignity kept. Three steps are required, a fourth is there only if the first three were not enough, and then the repair is written and the points return.
The steps
| Step | What it is | What the app asks for |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Talk | The same day, with the counselor: what happened, and why. The child talks with you first, before anything else. | Your note |
| 2. Encourage | The child is reminded of the good already in their record, which nobody can take away. | Your note, and a goal agreed with the child |
| 3. Correct | What to do differently next time, said plainly and agreed between you and the child. | Your note, and confirmation that the family was told |
| 4. Consequence | Only if the first three were not enough: proportionate and brief. Service, repair, an apology or a reflection. | Optional |
After step three, the restoration opens.
Record a step
Open the child from Way back or from Students. The deduction is in the history, and under it the way back with its steps.

- Record step 1, 2 or 3: the next step is the only one open. Write what was said, in a few lines. For Encourage, write the goal the child agreed to. For Correct, confirm the family was told.
- The step is written with the date and your name. Steps go in order and are never edited.
The email "Way back complete" goes to the head when step three is recorded, so the repair can follow.
The repair
When the child has made it right, record the restoration in two parts:
- Undone: what was put right. "Returned the calculator and apologized to Mei in front of the group."
- Good done: the good the child did on the way. "Helped Mei catch up on the homework she missed, two afternoons."
The exact points come back. The deduction stays in the record, marked restored; the restoration is its own entry with your name.

The list
Way back in the left bar lists every open case, oldest first, with the steps done and the next one, and below it the cases made right. Talk should happen the same day; the list is how nothing waits.

Who sees what
A teacher sees that the way back is open with the counselor, and nothing of its words. The head sees the steps. The family sees the deduction and the repair, never your notes.
